As a technology instructor, standards (TF-I.A) are always being demonstrated with the introduction of new knowledge and technology in my classroom. It really did not require the internship opportunities to exhibit this indicator. I can honestly say every new thing we did in our course work found its way into my classroom. I tried out the Schoology.com framework on my Business Image Management and Multimedia students the last six weeks of school, it was in working with them that I knew the stability of the Schoology system, and the usefulness of it. In a collaboration meeting prior to the close of school I received approval from my Assistant Principal, and peer teachers to experiment with using Schoology to teach our course. I volunteered to set up the course and use my class this school year, and begin training 3 of my peers so that next school year we can all use the system (TF-I.A.1 -3). It was a great coincidence that I was requested to teach a summer school class, because this gave me the opportunity to create the course in Schoology, and have a small set of students using the system. I must say that I am really pleased with the system. The only problem that occurred it that the Schoology site went down for about 40 minutes once. I realized that we will need a backup, because we cannot loose that kind of instructional time during our classes. I have not yet come up with a resolution for that issue.
